SPEAK LEGIBLY HAS MOVED.

The amount of spam I’ve been getting here is positively ridiculous.  I don’t want to just disable comments all together, so I’ve relocated the comic.

SPEAK LEGIBLY IS NOW LOCATED AT THIS LINK.  Now, I JUST set up the forwarding address, so if it doesn’t work, give it a couple days and it should.  I will keep this blog up for quite some time, and the link on my main portal site will be changed.

Thanks for the support guys!  School has begun again, so until I feel like I have a groove going, there won’t be a new comic.  I’ll try and make time, but not if it stresses me out too bad.

31 - “Bed Bugs”

Sunday, July 27th, 2008
I actually did suggest cutting my old twin mattress in half just to see, but my mom wisely suggested that I probably shouldn’t if I still wish to sleep comfortably at night.  Which I definately am with this new mattress, as I’m allergic to pretty much everything that grows in your bed, and my old one was 10+ years old.

In other words, I think this comic would be entirely true.  Though I’d probably miss the mattress at first with the machete and hit my foot, then Steve would take over.

30 - “Plant Sperm”

Monday, July 21st, 2008
Whoa, thought I was gonna forget for another week, huh?  Got you that time!

I do also get some pretty severe allergies, but have just been good at keeping them in check this year.  Poor Steve has kinda gotten walloped lately.  What with the  various pollens around, and the fact that I have a medium-haired cat that he loves to antagonize, well, you see where this is going (and if you have no idea, count yourself lucky you DON’T have to deal with this shit).  So… we both hate this season.

29 - “I’m Better Than You”

Sunday, July 13th, 2008
I don’t think this comic will ever be updated on a regular basis.  I’m okay with that so long as I keep pecking away at it.

I wouldn’t think this comic should require any explanation if you’ve worked in any sort of service job.  Pretty self explanatory.  Amanda just needs to find herself a receptionist job or something.  They totally need a pin like that.

EDIT How embarassing.  The pin should read “too bad yours isn’t” and NOT “to bad yours isn’t”.  I am ashamed.  Thank you to the individual that caught that, so when I actually go and make those pins (as I fully intend to do) it will be grammatically correct.

Notice of Semi-Importance

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

Sorry for the complete lack of action guys.  New job started, sucking up whatever free time the lack of school left me.  That, and when you’re not happy, trying to be funny is very, very hard.

One notice though.  I had to go through and delete all the comments left for me to moderate as I had 59 of them, and most, if not all, of them were spam.  The internet kinda freaked out trying to load the page with them all, so deleted they became.  If you left a comment on any of the comics and it hasn’t shown up, I urge you to leave it (or one similar) again.  Comments are awesome and make me feel a lot better than you know.  It’s really awesome hearing from those that read these silly things.

28 - “Accuracy Was Lowered”

Thursday, May 15th, 2008
So… I love how the first comic in awhile that’s had some actual good drawing is a Pokemon related one.  Awesome.  I realize I haven’t done a character study for my Dragonair-inspired-Pokemon-trainer costume, I shall do that sometime.

Also, I am aware that using Torterra would be an abysmal choice against Rayquaza.  If I remember correctly, I think I just used a Master Ball on the damn thing in whatever game you catch him in.  I do love my Torterra in Pearl though.  But… anyone else notice the lack of good fire Pokemon in the new games?  I swear, I had a Ponyta until I traded someone for a Chimchar.  I do prefer a Vulpix/Ninetales for my fire type, not sure why they’re cute.

27 - “Child Abuse”

Monday, May 5th, 2008
Oh, Brawl, you’re so awesome.  Sure, Snake breaking Ness’ or Lucas’ neck is disturbingly hilarious, but watching him do THE SAME THING TO KIRBY OR JIGGLYPUFF is a complete mystery.  Snake puts creatures with NO NECK in a choke hold.  That must be a testament to how awesome he is.

I really wanted this comic up last Friday, but I’ve been hit with some intestinal bug that’s just laid me out for the past four days.  Still not all better, kind of a miracle I got this comic up.  Depending on how I recover, there should be a comic up this Friday.  While it’s summer I’m shooting for Monday and Friday updates (and I fully intend to see comic number 50 before I start school again).

26 - “What’s Sleep?”

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008
I did want to get this comic done and up last week, but I decided to wait until until I got my new laptop and could use a proper scanner once again.  So yay, now opening and using Photoshop wont destroy my computer!

As for the comic, it’s funny ’cause it’s true.

25 - “Compatibility”

Monday, April 21st, 2008

Whoa, we’re back.  School was a pain and also completely awesome, but I’m done and can sleep for the next three months!

The above did happen, with much the same reaction.  That’s supposed to be a brain in the last panel, just not drawn very well.

24 - “Certain Skills”

Saturday, March 1st, 2008
This weeks comic isn’t that good. No, really, it’s not. I had my spring break last week and figured I could pump at least one comic out. Didn’t finish this until yesterday when I realized I should finish it now or it won’t be finished at all. So… no reference for those cars as that would have taken time I once again don’t have. Oh well!

Updates will probably cease until the end of April. I’m passing through midterms right now, and I don’t think things will get very easy from now until then. I’ll totally accept guest comics if the size dimensions can be kept relatively similar to the SL strips (if not, I’m sure we can work around that). Thank you everyone for putting up with these long delays! I really do like doing this comic and I fully intend on pushing through and making it better as time goes on.
